Voltronic Power is ready to release flexible and external maintenance bypass switch, MBS series. Combined power distribution feature and the master-controlled design, it provides maintenance bypass function and power saving within a compact mechanism.

Power Distribution Units are an essential element in managing power capacity and functionality for critical devices such as network, server and data center equipment. MBS series is used as an external power distribution unit in conjunction with UPS systems or large-scale voltage regulators. It allows to manually transfer the connected equipment to utility power via a bypass switch, permitting scheduled maintenance or UPS replacement without power interruption. Returning back to UPS power is as easy as turning the switch back to “Normal”.

Besides, with its master-controlled design, MBS series provides energy savings by shutting down unused peripherals. The master outlet is designed to sense current drawn by connected equipment, typically a computer. When the computer is shut down, it will shut off power to slave outlets which connect all PC peripherals. By turning off these “phantom loads”, the MBS series can reduce 263 KW* power consumption and save substantial amount of your electric bill.
